Finding Joy

Costa Rica – Pura Vida!

Want more joy in your life? Here are 10 things I try to do :

Be Positive – I know, easier said than done. Train you mind to focus on the POSITIVE things that happen in your day.

Eliminate Negative People/Situations/Energy – You know what sucks the energy out of you. Eliminate or minimize your time spent in these situations. Or, at least become aware of these situations and you can then start to approach them with a positive spin.

Spend time in nature – Unplug yourself and take a walk (or run) outside. You’ll be surprised what a little fresh air can do for you.

Find gratitude – Focus on appreciating who you have in your life and what you have.

Laugh more – Even if at yourself (hey, it is my best source of comedy!).

Fuel your body with nutritious food – Food affects how your body feels and operates. Mood swings, low energy, headaches and general grouchiness can all be caused by poor nutrition.

Look at life as what you can give, not what you can get – When you give of yourself you can help but feel fulfilled

Live life on the edge – the outer edge – of your comfort zone.

Learn something new every day – Hey, there’s an app for that! Instead of spending useless time with games or social media, use time waiting in line, etc. to your advantage and broaden your mind.

Practice random acts of kindness – You reap what you sow, so put a smile on someone else’s face. More likely than not, you will start a chain reaction because the recipient will pay it forward.

How you see the world is in your hands. Joy is in your hands. Choose to create joy and watch the ripple effect you will have on others.

Find your joy. Find your happy place.

Inspiring confidence to thrive in a plant-based lifestyle!
