Smoothies That Don't Suck

Smoothies are a great way to start your day and pack in a lot of nutrients - if you do them right. Remember many smoothies pack in a ton of sugar, so be cautious if ordering them out.


In a high power blender add:

Handful of spinach, kale or other leafy green
1-2 small carrots
1-2 inch piece of zucchini

Add enough water to blend

Blend, then add ½-1 banana

Blend, then add:

1 tablespoon hemp seeds
2 handfuls frozen blueberries

Blend, adding a little water if needed*

For a creamier texture, try adding an alternative milk.

If you want to disguise the taste of the vegetables more, try frozen pineapple or mango instead of blueberries.
